🏷️ Description

Back when 640KB of RAM was considered plenty, every kilobyte counted. Before gigabytes, cloud storage and endless upgrades, 640KB was a big deal.

A nostalgic nod to the early days of personal computing, when memory was precious, computers were chunky and squeezing every last byte out of your system was practically an art form.

For the tech enthusiasts who remember when less really was more.

Behold! my 286.

This was my beast. And I loved it.

My 1991 Intel 286 computer setup at home

With both 5¼-inch and 3½-inch floppy drives, it ran XTree Gold, Lotus 1-2-3 and Windows 3.0. Later, DoubleSpace helped squeeze every last megabyte out of that drive.

I still remember tweaking CONFIG.SYS - adding DOS=HIGH to free up enough conventional memory to get Wolfenstein 3D running.

That fascination never left. I’m still in tech today.

Every RUZE design starts with a memory like this one.
